These lathes are a new version of the LB model machine tools line which was received very well by the customers. The new version has been additionally fitted with a modern, more powerful electro-spindle drive and live tools with enhanced torque. The LB-EX series of the OKUMA CNC machine tools has been equipped with thermal deformation errors compensation system, both passive (based on a relevant box-shaped structure of the machine body) and active one related to the spindle (based on an automatic introduction of adjustments to the control system during changes in the spindle temperature to stabilize the conditions of the machining), which makes it suitable for high precision machining. Thanks to the mounted slide bearings, this machine is also intended for heavy duty machining.
