Thermal expansion of the components of the machine tools adversely affects the accuracy of the machining. So far, efforts have been made to reduce the generated heat so that it wouldl have the least effect on the accuracy. The new trend consists in the minimizing the impact of heat onthe accuracy of the machining. The Thermo-Friendly Concept system compensates for thermal deformations. This is possible thanks to the integration of the machine tool and the control system as well as the prediction of the temperature rise and its relevant compensation through the control. Thanks to a simple block construction of the columns, the both sides of which have a similar mass, the structure expands and contracts symmetrically in a predictable way. In addition, properly placed covers differentiate the air flow, which prevents uneven temperature changes.
